CANFAR Dinner in the Vancouver Courier

We have been featured in the Vancouver Courier‘s Fred UnLEEshed column, with coverage about the amazing CANFAR Dinner we supported earlier this month. Thank you Vancouver Courier for featuring this wonderful event!

Photo from the Vancouver Courier

While marveling of the city, ocean and mountain views from the panoramic roof top, business and community leaders, health advocates and social influencers heard from Dr. Helene Cote, a member of CANFAR’s Scientific Advisory Committee, to learn more of the firm’s efforts to eradicate the disease. After enjoying a variety of bites, drinks and live music, supporters would contribute more than $25,000 to the cause.

The CANFAR Dinner

Last week, we were pleased to sponsor the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR)’s inaugural CANFAR Dinner in Vancouver. Held at the beautiful Telus Garden rooftop, we were proud to cater the event with a menu of internationally influenced canapés from our seasonal menus, including Korean spicy chicken on kimchi pancake, Italian meatball sliders, Spanish-style croquettes, and more.

Frosé

There is more to catering than the food—it’s about the whole experience. Our team worked closely with the team at The Cross Decor & Design recently to collaborate on a spring dinner with a desert rose theme. Read the post here.

From beautiful tablescapes of cacti and lush flowers, to macrame textures and pink hues, the room was beautifully transformed. The guiding theme was seen through all food and beverage choices, as well; the anchor of dessert was frosé (as in: frozen rosé). This slushy wine cocktail is not only pretty by nature, but also so simple and tasty that it will certainly appeal to all your summer party guests.

Desert Rose Dinner

We are so excited to share our recent collaboration with The Cross Décor & Design to celebrate spring entertaining. The theme was Desert Rose, and we hosted an intimate group who enjoyed a long table dinner complete with frosé to end the evening. Our custom menu included themed dishes such as Edible Garden in the Desert, Citrus Salmon with Risotto Pea & Mascarpone Cake, Lamb Tenderloin with Fried Goat Cheese Bites and  Dessert Cart full of beautiful housemade pink desserts. The incredible floral display was provided by Celsia Florist. Here is a sneak peek of some photos by Fuoco Photography.

Children’s Wish Foundation’s Night of Wonders Gala 2017

Our GM Kevin Mazzone is proud to be part of the committee that organized the Night of Wonders Gala benefiting The Children’s Wish Foundation, BC & Yukon Chapter.

Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada is the largest and only all-Canadian wish-granting charity dedicated to granting wishes to Canadian children between the ages of 3 and 17 who are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. For more than 30 years, Children’s Wish has worked to grant wishes to nearly 25,000 children and their families—that’s three wishes per day, all year long.

The BC & Yukon Chapter has granted 445 wishes in the past five years alone and is currently working with over 300 hundred families.

This year’s gala raised $375,000, helping to grant many children their wishes! Learn more about this year’s event here.

UBC Boathouse Wedding

Weddings are some of our favourite events to plan because we get to be involved in such a special day. Planning can be stressful but we take some of the pressure off by supporting couples with full event planning, supplier sourcing, décor, and of course, food and beverage! We loved being a part of this beautiful wedding at UBC Boathouse recently, captured by Kaoverii Silva. Take a look at some photos below!
